Our Real Estate Group can assist developers and investors in the structuring, acquisition, financing and development of mixed-use, industrial, retail, office and residential properties. We also provide title and closing services for these clients.  In addition to our transactional experience, our Real Estate Group has assisted clients in disputes involving purchase and sale contracts and options, secured loans, inter-creditor agreements and agent disputes, management and operating agreements, ownership and control, title matters, and commercial leases (including eviction and forcible detainer actions, and rights of first refusal matters).  Our client list has included opportunity funds, insurance companies, asset managers, banks, publicly traded companies, private companies, developers, entrepre-neurs, technology companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies on a variety of real estate transactions and developments.


Real Estate Recovery & Workout Group

During the challenging economic times for the real estate industry, clients required an open mind, out-of-the-box thinking, and creative problem solving to address their needs.  The firm has represented a diverse group of clients, including special servicers, investment banks, commercial banks, and investors in distressed real estate debt.  And we have extensive experience working with a broad scope of property types, including office, industrial, retail and multifamily (including tax exempt).


On consensual matters, our team has represented lenders in forbearance agreements, loan modifications, deed-in-lieu transactions, deeds in escrow, distressed real estate loan sales and mortgage assumption agreements.


Real Property Litigation

When the process becomes litigious, we can represent clients in mortgage foreclosures, receiverships, suits against guarantors, fraudulent transfer claims, fraud investigations and litigation, lender liability claims and litigation, and sales of distressed real estate through powers of attorney, receivers, and as REO property.

Our attorneys have proven themselves in the field of real property litigation, successfully handling a broad array of matters including commercial foreclosures, actions to quiet title, unit-owner disputes, maintenance claims and assignment of rents evictions, and con-struction defect and construction lien litigation, board litigation, condominium and home-owner association (HOA) disputes, and commercial lease disputes.  We have represented developers, contractors, architects, engineers, materialmen and property owners alike.
