Sara Paris , Esq. 

Of Counsel


Sara Paris concentrates her practice on insurance defense matters, complex commercial litigation and receivership matters. She has extensive litigation experience handling both state and federal court litigation matters.  Sara has served as defense counsel for multiple insurance carriers on first party property claims and Condominium and Homeowner’s Associations’ claims. 

In addition, Sara has broad experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.

She has served as Receiver’s counsel in federal equity receiverships, and state court commercial and real estate receiverships.  In her capacity as Receiver’s counsel, she has worked on various facets of complex receiverships, including administration, asset protection, forensic investigation, prosecution of ancillary litigation, transactional matters, including drafting and advising on contracts, and assisting and advising in the operation of multiple underlying businesses.

Sara began her legal career at a small Florida based firm defending first party property claims. She then went on to work for two large national law firms in their commercial litigation departments working on complex commercial litigation cases and on various insurance defense matters. In addition, she served as Of Counsel for a prominent boutique business litigation firm based in Miami, Florida and has had her own practice for the past four years.

Sara is a member of both the Florida bar and the New York Bar, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.  She obtained her juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law in 2007. 

Sara has been a member of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar for the past 9 years. She serves as the current vice-chair and incoming chair of the Diversity, Inclusion, Mentoring Committee of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar. 

During law school she was the the Greenberg Traurig Fellow in Corporate and Professional Responsibility and she received first place in her first year Moot Court Competition. In addition, she was a summer clerk for the deceased, Justice Louis York in the New York State Supreme Court. During her undergraduate studies, Sara was a member of the Dean’s List and a fellow in the AmeriCorps program. Sara attended LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York City for voice and in her free time, Sara greatly enjoys singing, traveling and spending time with her family.
