Patricia Sierra, ESQ.


Patricia Sierra has years of experience in insurance defense litigation including first–party defense litigation.  Patricia drafted pleadings, discovery responses, initial analyses, mediation analyses and case summaries and argument submitted to mediators in advance of mediation. In addition, Patricia handled various types of depositions and argued and defended motions on first-party and third-party insurance defense matters throughout South Florida. As part of her practice Patricia has ensured the clients remained regularly apprised of developments and shifting issues in the manner required by client guidelines.
Patricia recently was part of a trial team that secured a defense verdict for insureds against claims of personal negligence stemming from a guest’s fall. She was also instrumental in overcoming the plaintiff’s challenge to the defense’s motion for attorney fees and costs pursuant to a defense proposal for settlement, and the team secured fee and cost judgments for both. 
Patricia joins Zumpano Castro from Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson LLP. Prior to private practice, Patricia served for over three years as law clerk and trial court staff attorney at the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida, in and for Marion County, Florida. There, she assisted circuit court judges in the civil divisions on a variety of matters ranging from contract disputes to governmental land use restriction actions by performing research, drafting bench memos and proposed orders, as well as assisting the court with its motion practice management. 
Patricia graduated from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2010.
Patricia is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.
