Mercy B. Pina-Brito has been practicing law for over 24 years and is an attorney with trial experience in the firm’s litigation department and representing clients in a wide variety of industries, including in employment law. Mercy has experience defending clients with EEOC charges and OSHA complaints, as well representation concerning whistleblower and civil rights complaints, FLSA, FMLA and unpaid wages matters, and a variety of employment related consultations and employment agreement representations. In addition, she has experience litigating claims involving breach of contract, interference with business relationships, injunctive relief, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligence, defamation, deceptive and unfair trade practices, misappropriation of property rights, civil conspiracy, civil theft, and first party, bad-faith, coverage and third-party property claims. 

Mercy has litigated cases at both the state and federal levels and has experience drafting appellate briefs and presenting argument before the Florida District Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to her Florida Bar licensure, Mercy is also a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.

Mercy was born and raised in Miami, Florida, attended a local High School and has lived in South Florida all her life. In addition to practicing law, Mercy returns her good fortune to the community by participating in organizations including Put Something Back and Dade Legal Aid; and mentoring aspiring legal professionals. She is a member of the internationally renowned Rotary Club which provides assistance to the less fortunate, as well as the Florida Lawyers Network. Mercy has previously taught aspiring legal professionals and has been published by more than one reputable publication.
